Job summary

GS2 | B Corp™ is seeking an elite MEP Director to own the technical record, direct AE/MEP design consultants, and translate hyperscale customer requirements into flawless IFC documents. You will lead and scale the engineering function to support rapid hyper-growth across the US.

You will manage OFCI equipment specification, vendor selection, and FAT participation, while guiding commissioning through turnover and ensuring schedule, budget, and reliability targets are met.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive engineering leadership with significant, dedicated data center experience.
• BS in Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering or a valid PE license (Texas or reciprocal).
• Proven owner/developer-side experience delivering 20+ MW projects from Basis of Design (BOD) through final turnover.
• Deep working knowledge of Uptime Tier III/IV, ASHRAE 90.4 & TC 9.9, and NFPA 70/70E/72/110.

• Advanced Cooling: Drive initiatives in cutting-edge, high-density cooling ecosystems - including liquid, direct-to-chip, and immersion technologies.
• Consultant Management: Manage AE/MEP consultants masterfully through all SD, DD, CD, and IFC phases, straight through to construction support.
• Equipment Ownership: Own critical OFCI equipment specification, vendor selection, submittal review, and FAT participation.
• Commissioning & Turnover: Oversee Level 1-5 commissioning planning and final customer turnover.
• Scale the Function: Build and scale there internal engineering function to support our hyper-growth.

They are aggressively scaling, entirely unbothered by market slowdowns, and have an immediate ~85 MW pipeline cooking right now across Central Texas, with more hyperscale sites in the queue.

• Location: Remote with 30% Travel to Austin
• Organisation: National Data Center Developer
• Compensation and Benefits Package: $185,000 - $225,000 + 25-30% Bonus

About the Role

As the MEP Director, you will serve as the technical owner of record. You will direct AE and MEP design consultants, validate OFCI equipment selections, lead customer-facing technical engagement, and translate hyperscale and enterprise customer requirements into flawless IFC documents that meet schedule, budget, and reliability targets.

• Technical Credentials: BS in Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering or a valid PE license (Texas or reciprocal)
• Scale & Scope: Proven owner/developer-side experience successfully delivering 20+ MW projects from Basis of Design (BOD) through final turnover.
• Industry Standards: Deep working knowledge of Uptime Tier III/IV, ASHRAE 90.4 & TC 9.9, and NFPA 70/70E/72/110.
