Job summary

Metric Geo in Columbus, OH is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to lead data center construction on mission-critical projects. You will manage schedules, budgets, procurement, and coordination of HVAC, piping and other mechanical systems with the GC and trades.

On-site leadership with superintendents and field teams, handling RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation while communicating progress and risks to owners and internal leadership. Responsible for startup and closeout.

Qualifications

• Project management experience with a mechanical or MEP contractor.
• Data center construction experience required.
• Strong understanding of HVAC and core mechanical systems.
• Experience managing field teams, schedules, budgets, and client relationships.
• Hands-on, technically capable, and comfortable working on site.
• Open to candidates based locally or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical project schedules, budgets, procurement, and delivery
• Coordinate HVAC, piping, and other mechanical systems with the GC and project trades
• Work with superintendents and field teams to resolve installation and sequencing issues
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Communicate progress and risks to owners, GCs, and internal leadership
• Support system startup, commissioning, and project closeout
