Job summary

TYG seeks an experienced mechanical engineer to join the new Dallas office of a rapidly expanding, data-center–focused MEP firm. You will lead regional growth, design HVAC, plumbing and mechanical systems for complex facilities, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 3–7 years of design experience, proficiency with Revit and CFD tools, and familiarity with building codes and fire protection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–7 years of mechanical design experience.
• HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection experience preferred.
• Experience with data centers, healthcare, laboratories, pharmaceutical, or industrial facilities is a plus.
• EIT preferred; PE or progress toward licensure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for complex facilities
• Support fire protection and controls engineering
• Perform load, ventilation, airflow, equipment, and system calculations
• Apply applicable building codes and engineering standards
• Develop coordinated construction drawings and technical documentation
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and project stakeholders
• Communicate project requirements, schedules, and technical issues
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development
