Job summary

TSMC Arizona is seeking a highly skilled Structured Cabling Engineer to design, plan, coordinate, implement, and maintain cabling infrastructure supporting enterprise IT, manufacturing, and data center environments. You will work with stakeholders, contractors, and vendors to deliver quality infrastructure on schedule.

The role requires experience in cabling systems, adherence to standards, and the ability to manage documentation and testing across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience managing installation vendors.
• Knowledge of Cat6/Cat6A, SM/MM Fiber, MPO/MTP, LC/SC connectors, patch panels, cable management systems, TIA-568, BICSI, ANSI/TIA standards and NEC requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible to work non-standard hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate structured cabling installation for office buildings, manufacturing facilities, and data centers.
• Develop project schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and deployment plans.
• Track project progress and ensure milestones are achieved on time.
• Design and manage copper and fiber optic cabling systems; review cable routing and pathways.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and proper documentation; validate labeling and as-built drawings.
• Verify cable testing results and conduct site inspections; manage evidence before handover.
• Maintain cable databases and update AutoCAD drawings; prepare weekly status reports.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams to align installation activities.
