Job summary

Amazon in Texas is seeking a Data Center Manager to lead engineering teams and own the operation of our data center facilities. You will drive performance, refine processes, and coordinate closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure reliability and uptime.

The role requires managing high-performing teams, overseeing both existing and new data centers, and pushing for continuous improvement in capacity and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Information Technology (IT) experience or a related Bachelor's degree.
• 1+ years of operations and on-call support for data center facilities.
• 1+ years of networking experience (DNS, DHCP, SSL, TCP/IP, OSI).

Responsibilities

• Lead and build high-performing engineering teams with technical and leadership guidance.
• Maintain existing data centers and support new data center rollouts.
• Improve processes and procedures to drive operational excellence.
• Manage external vendors and contractors relationships.
• Coordinate with internal teams and management groups.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards across data centers.
• Create and track metrics to drive data-center improvements.
• Support incident, problem, change, and capacity management.
