Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity.
• Experience managing large teams across multiple locations and languages, or as an acting operations manager.
• Experience in written and verbal communication with senior leadership.
• 5+ years of analytical, quantitative, and presentations experience.
• 10+ years in a data center or critical environment.

Responsibilities

• Hiring, managing, and developing the operations management team including facilities managers and engineering operations technicians.
• Attainment of performance goals relating to safety, security, availability, scaling, and efficiency in data center operations.
• Plan and execute Infrastructure Operations for new AWS data center build-outs and expansions, including mechanical/electrical/plumbing infrastructure.
• Operate and maintain MEP systems including preventive and corrective maintenance and change management.
• Vendor management of colocation data center services providers when required.
• Oversight of preventative maintenance systems and adherence to schedules.
• Balance insourcing/outsourcing maintenance tasks to balance internal skills and cost.
• Safety, security, and availability incident response and resolution.
• Continuous improvement of operational processes, procedures, methods, and tools.
