About the Role:
As a CBRE Data Center Manager, you will manage the team responsible for providing preventative maintenance andrepair services to a client or small building. This job is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for technical maintenanceservices in critical client environments.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and supervise engineering personnel, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Assign work orders and provide technical training and mentorship
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs for facility equipment and systems.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules with clients to minimize business disruption.
- Monitor and maintain critical systems including HVAC, fire alarm, plumbing, electrical, and building automation systems.
- Verify quality and completion of engineering work and ensure facilities remain operational and compliant.
- Respond to emergencies and lead troubleshooting efforts for complex facility issues.
- Drive operational improvements, resource planning, and strategic initiatives.
- Build relationships with clients, vendors, and senior leadership to support business objectives.
- Promote and model CBRE RISE values and safety standards.
What You’ll Need:
- High School Diploma / GED or trade school diploma – 5+ years of engineering, maintenance or facility operations
- Strong knowledge of the following:
- HVAC systems
- Chilled Water Systems
- Clean Dry Air Systems
- Process Chilled Water
- Vacuum Systems
- BMS/BAS/SCADA platforms
- Electrical Systems
- Alarms and Lighting Systems
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks including climbing, walking, standing, and working in industrial environments.
- Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising,and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
- Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performanceexpectations and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline anddepartment.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset
