Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Data Center Manager to lead the team responsible for preventative maintenance and repair in critical client environments, ensuring safety and reliability.

You will supervise engineering personnel and contractors, develop maintenance programs, coordinate with clients, and monitor HVAC, electrical, and building automation systems while driving operational improvements.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED or trade school diploma.
  • 5+ years of engineering, maintenance or facility operations.
  • Experience leading engineering personnel, contractors and vendors.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, air systems and building automation.
  • Ability to supervise maintenance programs and coordinate with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise engineering personnel, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Assign work orders and provide technical training and mentorship.
  • Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs for facility equipment and systems.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules with clients to minimize business disruption.
  • Monitor and maintain critical systems including HVAC, fire alarm, plumbing, electrical, and building automation.
  • Verify quality and completion of engineering work and ensure operations and compliance.
  • Respond to emergencies and lead troubleshooting for complex facility issues.
  • Drive operational improvements, resource planning, and strategic initiatives.
  • Build relationships with clients, vendors and senior leadership to support business objectives.
  • Promote CBRE RISE values and safety standards.

About the Role:

As a CBRE Data Center Manager, you will manage the teamresponsible for providing preventative maintenance and repair services toa client or small building. This job is part of the Critical and TechnicalServices job function. They are responsible for technicalmaintenance services in critical client environments.


What You’ll Do:


  • Lead and supervise engineeringpersonnel, contractors, and subcontractors.

  • Assign work orders and providetechnical training and mentorship

  • Develop and manage preventivemaintenance programs for facility equipment and systems.

  • Coordinate maintenance schedules withclients to minimize business disruption.

What You’ll Need:


  • High School Diploma / GED or trade schooldiploma – 5+ years of engineering, maintenance or facility operations

  • Strong knowledge of the following:

  • HVACsystems

  • ChilledWater Systems

  • CleanDry Air Systems

  • ProcessChilled Water

  • VacuumSystems

  • BMS/BAS/SCADAplatforms

  • ElectricalSystems

  • Alarmsand Lighting Systems

  • Abilityto lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks including climbing, walking,standing, and working in industrial environments.

  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection,training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, andrewarding performance and retention preferred.

  • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive,complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectationsand handle problems.

  • Leadership skills to motivate team impact onquality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.



  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examplesinclude Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitivemindset

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Data Center Manager position is $140,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Data Center Manager position is $143,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
