Job summary

Kidwell is seeking highly motivated individuals to fill the role of Low Voltage Installer. This position requires a team-oriented mindset and a focus on positivity, honesty, and attention to detail as you represent Kidwell on job sites and with customers.

You will assist the Senior Cabling Technician with installation and diagnostic maintenance of premise cabling equipment, and you will test Cat5, Cat6, and Cat6a cables.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Electrical or similar Technology, or equivalent field experience.
• Ability to pass physical exam and drug screening.
• State Nebraska Electrical License or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Cabling Technician with installation and diagnostic maintenance of premise cabling equipment.
• Install and test Cat5, Cat6, and Cat6a cables.
• Assist with installation of cable trays, racks, and support structures.
• May be responsible to conduct terminations.
• Learn basic working knowledge of Kidwell sales products.
• Collaborate with Telecommunications Technicians on projects as needed.

What You’ll Do-

• Assists and reports to Senior Cabling Technician in the installation and diagnostic maintenance of premise cabling equipment according to contract and customer needs
• Responsible for installation and testing of Cat5, Cat6, and Cat6a cables
• Assist with installation of cable trays, racks, and other support structures
• May be responsible to conduct terminations
• Learn and retain a basic working knowledge of company sales products
• Will work with Telecommunications Technicians on projects as needed

Do You Have What it Takes?

• Candidates preferably will possess an Associate's Degree from a qualified Electrical or similar Technology program, or have a minimum of some experience in the field
• All candidates must be able to pass a physical exam and drug screening
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and must maintain a valid Driver's License
• Candidates must possess a current State of Nebraska Electrical License or apply for one upon employment
