Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Data Center Logistics Associate in Barker, NY to manage the intake, storage, and movement of critical IT equipment. This on-site role requires attention to safety, accurate record-keeping, and coordination with multiple teams to ensure timely deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Manage delicate, high-value equipment requiring precise handling and sometimes last mile installation.
• Receive, log, and process inbound shipments; verify quantities and condition.
• Prepare, pack, label, and stage outbound shipments; assemble packing lists and load trucks.
• Verify supplier returns and enter order receipts into inventory systems.
• Relocate, consolidate, and organize materials within storage and staging areas.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation (logs, bills of lading, delivery receipts, invoices).
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams for timely material availability.
• Coordinate transportation and deliveries between storage locations and data center facilities.
• Communicate with internal technical teams, vendors, and logistics partners to move materials efficiently.
• Identify opportunities to improve logistics, inventory, and material-handling processes.
• Assist with other logistics-related duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage delicate, high-value technical equipment requiring precise, white-glove handling, frequently includes "last mile" installation (e.g., placing servers in racks)

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent required; Bachelor’s preferred
• Hands-on experience operating forklifts and pallet jack is preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in logistics or a related field
• Familiarity with IT infrastructure, networking components (servers, switches, cables), and specialized inventory software required; specializing in logistics software and systems preferred
• Ability to strictly adhere to security protocols and safety standards for handling equipment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and procedures
• Basic computer and problem-solving skills preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to be on your feet for extended periods
• Willingness to operate warehouse equipment, including power equipment
