Job summary

Valor Contracting is seeking a Lead Carpenter for a large datacenter project near Bismarck, ND. You will lead carpentry and site support, build temporary shelters, install windows/doors, and coordinate with the Superintendent to keep work moving safely and efficiently.

You will mentor general laborers, plan daily work, review drawings, manage materials/equipment, and uphold quality and safety standards on the jobsite. The role involves 50-hour weeks with travel potential.

Qualifications

• Extensive carpentry experience on large projects.
• Ability to lead a crew of laborers and coordinate with a superintendent.
• Proven focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and mentor general laborers on daily assignments.
• Plan and organize the crew's daily work to support project schedules.
• Teach proper construction techniques, tool usage, and safe practices.
• Coordinate with the Superintendent on manpower, materials, and upcoming work needs.
• Respond quickly to changing site needs and shift priorities.
