Job summary

Valor Contracting is seeking a Traveling Assistant Superintendent for a large datacenter project near Mandan, ND. This traveling role will be onsite at project locations with potential for multiple sites and travel opportunities.

The position requires developing schedules, coordinating trades, managing site logistics, safety, and project documentation while supporting 50-100% travel. A company vehicle and per diem are provided to eligible travelers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related degree preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in construction management.
• Experience in construction layout, plan, and shop drawing readings.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience and construction management software programs.
• Valid Drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Develop and adjust project schedules, coordinating across all trades and phases
• Manage site logistics, including access, material storage, deliveries and equipment
• Supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with plans, safety regulations, and quality standards
• Oversee subcontractor work and maintain site documentation, including RFI's, daily reports, and safety records
• Oversee procurement, vendor management, and material ordering
• Oversee punch list completion and final project inspections
• Lead project coordination meetings and facilitate issue resolution
• Track and report on costs, including labor and materials
• Serve as the primary contact for project communication and stakeholder management
• Manage the preparation of final as-builts and closeout documentation
• Conduct safety orientations and training for site personnel
• Attend all required safety trainings and meetings
