Job summary

OVHcloud US is seeking a Lead Data Center Inventory Control Specialist to own the full lifecycle of hardware inventory at the data center site, coordinating with operations, logistics, and management to keep stock in sync and commitments on track.

The role covers procurement, receiving, stocking, tracking, budgeting, and returns, with the site acting as the sole on-site inventory specialist at a lead level. Base pay ranges hourly based on experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in inventory control or similar role.
• Knowledge of inventory management software.
• Ability to manage inventory budgets and procurement.
• Proficiency with SAP, Tableau, Jira or equivalents.
• Strong knowledge of hardware or data servers.
• Experience presenting operational data to management.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new challenges.
• Thoroughness and organizational skills.
• Proactive, with anticipation skills.
• Able to teach others and be diplomatic.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming stock and sign shipment notes.
• Manage stock, ensuring availability to meet commitments.
• Conduct inventory checks and reconcile physical vs. virtual stock.
• Procurement and budgeting for site inventory and stock.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain for orders and replenishment.
• Report procurement issues and abnormal consumption.
• Coordinate parts pulls, staging, and delivery for projects.
• Train staff on inventory processes and best practices.
• Prepare and present weekly inventory updates.
• Ensure compliance with site access, security, and data handling.
