Job summary

Mount Thor is seeking a hands‑on infrastructure leader to build and operate the physical foundation of our compute platform. You will own delivery from fit-out to production readiness across data center sites, partnering with vendors and field teams to scale capacity safely.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data center deployment and operations from build-out to production.
• Experience with racks, servers, network gear, cabling, and power distribution.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in data centers.
• Experience in colocation, cloud, AI infra, or mission-critical environments.
• Managing contractors, vendors, remote-hands, and partners with clear standards.
• Owning hardware deployment workflows from receiving to decommissioning.
• Operational judgment using change control, SOPs, and escalation paths.
• Leading incidents involving infrastructure, power, cooling or cabling.
• Ability to document SOPs, incident reports, and technical handoffs.
• Willingness to work in data halls and travel to Mount Thor sites; on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Own the delivery and operation of Mount Thor’s data center footprint.
• Lead data hall fit-out and infrastructure deployment; coordinate racks, power, cooling, cabling, and commissioning.
• Serve as technical representative with colocation providers, contractors, electricians, and vendors.
• Build the hardware deployment process from receiving through production handoff.
• Own day-two site operations: monitoring, maintenance, RMAs, inventory, capacity changes.
• Define and maintain operating procedures, including SOPs, change controls, and handoffs.
• Lead responses to infrastructure incidents; coordinate on-site work and root-cause analysis.
• Track site health with metrics on capacity, availability, deployment time, and inventory accuracy.
• Feed experience back into future designs; improve racks, power, cooling, cabling, and spares.
• Build a repeatable operating model scalable across sites with automation and trusted data.
