Our client, a leading organization in the data center and infrastructure industry, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Datacenter Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Datacenter Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Data Center Operations team, supporting infrastructure maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting efforts. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.
Datacenter Engineer
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support data center hardware, infrastructure, and supporting systems to ensure high availability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Perform network cabling, patching, cross-connects, cable routing, rack elevations, cable management, and connectivity validation for network, compute, and storage environments.
Coordinate fiber optic installation, splicing, testing, and termination activities with internal teams and external vendors.
Support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low-voltage infrastructure, including environmental monitoring systems, access control, and surveillance.
Assist in planning and executing data center projects such as equipment deployments, hardware refreshes, and infrastructure upgrades.
Candidate needs to be a US Passport holder due to travel requirements to US and global locations.
3+ years of experience in Data Center Engineering and Operations.
Experience managing Information Technology infrastructure, structured cabling (copper and fiber optic), and network cabling.
Knowledge of fiber optic standards, installation, testing, and documentation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues.
