Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Hermiston, Oregon is seeking a seasoned Data Center Operations Manager to lead a technical team responsible for server rack deployment, capacity planning, and infrastructure delivery across multiple facilities.

You will drive operational excellence, mentor engineers, and partner with vendors to ensure safety and reliability. Candidates should have 2+ years in data center leadership, strong TCP/IP networking basics, and a proven track record delivering large-scale DC

Qualifications

• 2+ years of management/team lead experience.
• 2+ years in a data center technology role and/or knowledge of TCP/IP networking, cabling, fiber, and test equipment.
• Experience with installing data center equipment such as racks and cabling.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop teams of technicians and engineers, providing technical and leadership guidance.
• Deliver capacity to existing data centers and help build new ones.
• Improve processes and collaborate with external vendors and internal teams.
• Maintain safety standards and generate metrics to drive improvements.
• Support incident, problem, change, and capacity management.
