Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an Infra Delivery Install Technician to move and install large enterprise equipment, install fiber and copper cabling, and support safe, scalable data-center infrastructure across multiple sites.

Requires 2+ years in data center operations and network cabling, travel flexibility, and the ability to work a 24/7 environment with on-call rotations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep the cloud running smoothly and securely.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of data center, critical environment, computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, or data center operations experience.
• 2+ years of network cabling, fiber optics, and test equipment including VFL, power meter, and OTDR experience.
• Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers.

Responsibilities

• Moving and implementing large enterprise equipment
• Installing Fiber and Copper cabling and patching cabling between equipment
• Ensuring proper safety and security standards are maintained during cabling and rack installation
• Following well established hardware installation procedures and break-fix activities
• Safely using material handling tools and equipment
• Traveling within and outside of the regional work area is required.
