Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in the United States seeks an Infra Delivery Install Technician for the DCC Communities. You will install and troubleshoot large enterprise equipment, run fiber and copper cabling, and follow safety standards during rack install and patching.

Travel to multiple data centers is required. Candidates typically have 2+ years in data centers or related roles, experience with network cabling and testing tools, and a IT-related degree or relevant certs (CCENT/Network+/CCNA).

Qualifications

• 2+ years of data center, critical environment, computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, or data center operations experience.
• 2+ years of network cabling, fiber optics, and test equipment including VFL, power meter, and OTDR experience.
• Experience with copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers.

Responsibilities

• Moving and implementing large enterprise equipment
• Installing Fiber and Copper cabling and patching cabling between equipment
• Ensuring proper safety and security standards are maintained during cabling and rack installation,
• Following well established hardware installation procedures and break-fix activities
• Safely using material handling tools and equipment
• Traveling within and outside of the regional work area is required.
