Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company is seeking a Warranty Field Technician to support warranty-related service repairs on data center HVAC equipment, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and completing approved warranty repairs to ensure safe, reliable operation.

The role involves collaboration with Technical Support, Field Service Management, Quality, and Commissioning teams to resolve warranty issues and document findings. Travel is 0–75% depending on customer needs and schedules.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
EPA Section 608 Certification is required.
2 years of HVAC experience in commercial, industrial, or data center settings preferred.
Experience troubleshooting HVAC mechanical systems, refrigeration, electrical components, and controls.
Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and service docs.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently in the field with support coordination.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

Perform approved warranty repairs on data center cooling systems such as chillers, CRAH units, and FanWall systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls issues to identify failure causes.
Replace defective parts per warranty guidelines and safety procedures.
Document findings, failure details, corrective actions, and parts replaced for warranty claims.
Coordinate with Technical Support to confirm warranty validity and repair steps.
Respond to warranty service requests in a timely and professional manner.
Escalate critical issues to management as needed.
Provide detailed service reports, photos, and completion documentation.
Follow safety requirements and customer site procedures at all times.
Maintain a professional customer-facing presence in the field.
