Modine Manufacturing Company is seeking an HVAC Data Center Technician to maintain and repair data-center cooling systems, ensuring reliable operation of CRAC/CRAH units and associated equipment. The role focuses on minimizing downtime and optimizing efficiency for critical IT environments.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, reading mechanical diagrams, and responding to issues with on-call and night work as needed. Travel may be required up to 25% depending on site needs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial or industrial HVAC experience.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, piping schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with BMS/BAS systems for monitoring and control.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and on-call duty.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including CRAC/CRAH units, Airewalls, chillers, condensers, and pumps.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) per schedule to ensure reliable system performance.
• Replace filters and other mechanical components as needed.
• Respond quickly to mechanical equipment failures or temperature excursions to protect IT assets.
• Escalate critical events to management and assist in root cause analysis after incidents.
