Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Data Center Technician in Houston, TX to perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs in a data center environment. The role is onsite and part of the Critical and Technical Services function, focusing on maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of related experience, an apprenticeship or equivalent training, and the ability to work shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Training in a Technical discipline with apprenticeship or equivalent and 1–2 years of job-related experience.
• In lieu of a diploma, combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Ability to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily site inspections of Mechanical & Engineering systems and equipment.
• Ensure environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
• React to Building Management System alarms and complete emergency repairs as needed.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors and ensure compliance with processes and laws.
• Complete planned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance on equipment.
