Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking skilled HVAC Mechanics with at least 8 years of commercial/industrial experience to service light to heavy commercial and data center environments. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain chillers, pumps, fans, and refrigeration systems, provide on-site quotes, and work with branch teams to deliver best-in-class service.

You’ll participate in factory certification programs, travel up to 20%, and join a safety‑first culture that emphasizes training and career growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight (8) years commercial/industrial HVAC troubleshooting experience in data center or similar environments.
• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
• Able to install complete systems (chillers, rooftop units, plumbing and supporting mechanical systems).
• Able to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers and/or ammonia/hydrocarbon systems.
• Maintain ammonia and hydrocarbon safety training certification.
• Travel 10–20% to support activities.
• Pass a knowledge examination to assess proficiencies.
• Enroll in training programs to gain HVAC knowledge and sales quoting.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair and replacement on commercial HVACR systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers, ammonia/hydrocarbon components.
• Install complete systems including chillers and rooftop units.
• Provide quotes and recommendations to customers; support service contracts.
• Collaborate with local market mechanics, servicemen and apprentices.
