Job summary

Epic is seeking a hands-on Facilities Engineer to manage the Rochester, MN data center operations with a strong focus on mechanical systems such as HVAC equipment, chillers and cooling towers. You will monitor performance, diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure continuous operation.

The role requires relocation to Rochester, MN and offers relocation assistance, merit-based raises, bonuses, stock grants, and a sabbatical after five years.

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience with commercial mechanical systems a plus

Responsibilities

• Overall operation and upkeep of a critical data center facility with a focus on mechanical systems including HVAC equipment such as chillers and cooling towers
• Monitor system performance, diagnose and troubleshoot issues, perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure reliable continuous operation
• Own the building's needs beyond HVAC, including plumbing, fire protection, and fuel systems and basic building maintenance tasks
• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical plans and determine when to work independently or engage remote subject matter experts
