Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician to perform startup, commissioning, diagnostics and ongoing maintenance on commercial HVAC systems across a variety of installations. You will interpret blueprints, ensure safety compliance, and build strong relationships with customers while delivering high-quality service.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in HVAC, experience with centrifugal chillers, EPA certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

5+ years practical working experience in the HVAC Industry.
3+ years working with centrifugal chillers.
Ability to Push / Pull / Lift 50lbs.
EPA Universal certification.
Must be able to stand, crawl, sit, squat for extended periods, climb a ladder, and work on rooftops.
High School Diploma/GED.
Possess and maintain valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

Participate in startup and commissioning of new units, applying expertise to support a state-of-the-art facility.
Perform diagnostic tests, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions, and execute regularly scheduled maintenance on heating and cooling units.
Review and interpret regulatory requirements and technical documents, including blueprints and diagrams.
Cultivate strong customer relationships and ensure timely escalation of issues for resolution when necessary.
Prioritize safety by adhering to licensing requirements, operating equipment safely, recognizing HVAC-related hazards, completing safety training, and implementing effective safety measures.
