Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Health and Safety Manager for the Boardman, OR data center operations. You will own the Health and Safety function, elevate safety culture, and partner with engineers, security, facilities, and HR to protect employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk prevention, or equivalent experience.
• Experience implementing health and safety standards, policies and practices.

Responsibilities

• Implement health and safety standards, policies and practices including safety management systems, training and risk assessments.
• Conduct health and safety audits of data centers and active construction sites for compliance.
• Ensure compliance with global health and safety programs beyond regulatory requirements.
• Develop health and safety plans for on-site emergencies and business continuity.
• Maintain safety record keeping and data integrity.
• Perform data trend analysis to support leadership with safety initiatives.
• Consult with AWS compliance team for guidance.
• Identify risks and work with Operations to remediate via hierarchy of controls.
• Interact daily with customers delivering health and safety guidance.
