Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Health and Safety Manager to own the Health and Safety function within a Hermiston data center. You will partner with engineers and stakeholders to improve safety culture, manage risk, and support live operations.

Responsibilities include audits, development of safety plans, data integrity, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure top-tier safety standards across the facility.

Responsibilities

• Implement health and safety standards, policies and practices including safety management systems, training, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct health and safety audits of data centers and active construction sites for compliance with life safety requirements.
• Ensure implementation of global health and safety programs that exceed regulatory requirements.
• Develop health and safety plans for on-site emergencies, business continuity, and special events.
• Maintain safety record keeping and data integrity.
• Perform data trend analysis to support leadership with safety initiatives.
• Consult with the AWS compliance team for interpretations and guidance.
• Identify risks and partner with Operations to remediate via hierarchy of controls.
• Interact daily with customers delivering health and safety guidance.
