Job summary

Google Moncks Corner, SC is seeking a Data Center Technician to support hardware operations in a fast-paced data center environment. You will install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain servers and related hardware, participate in small-scale projects, and assist with network components and system diagnostics.

The role requires hands-on repair and troubleshooting skills, capacity to lift heavy equipment, and flexibility to work non-standard hours.

Qualifications

Experience with completing work as directed and collaborating with teammates.
Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting OS, computer/server hardware, or networking protocols.
Ability to lift 50 lb and perform physical tasks; ability to work non-standard hours including nights/weekends/holidays.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Completion of the Google IT Support Professional Certificate program.
2 years of experience diagnosing and troubleshooting OS, hardware, or networking protocols.
Experience in data center or similar environments.

Responsibilities

Deploy and operate new data center infrastructure across projects or functions.
Report issues and follow data center procedures to troubleshoot and diagnose straightforward issues with equipment or infrastructure.
Maintain the security and integrity of data and ensure Data Center procedures are followed.
Disassemble equipment that has reached end-of-life via part replacement or maintenance in a team setting.
Repair, fix, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment, servers, machines, or infrastructure.
