Job summary

Black Hills Energy in Cheyenne, WY seeks a Data Center Development Manager to lead commercial development for data center opportunities, manage stakeholder relationships, and support growth strategies.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, negotiate customer contracts, and develop tools and dashboards to inform executive decisions. Travel up to 25% and relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required in related field.
• 5+ years in energy sector with business development, finance, account management, project management, strategic planning, or commercial growth.
• Experience in utility industry or data center organization.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate data center development activities with internal and external teams.
• Support executive discussions and commercial negotiations.
• Develop and manage data center customer agreements and related contracts.
• Lead cross-functional coordination across regulatory, engineering, finance, legal, and operations.
• Provide regular updates to leadership on progress, risks, and milestones.
