Job summary

Gates is expanding its data center portfolio and seeks a Technical Development & Commercialization Leader for Data Center Couplings to drive development, validation, and commercialization of advanced fluid conveyance solutions.

The role serves as the technical authority for Gates' data center hoses and couplings, leading programs from concept to market and collaborating with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Quality, and Operations to accelerate time to market with high performance and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
11+ years of progressive experience in engineering, product development, or technical leadership.
Experience in fluid transfer systems, hose and coupling technologies, or related industrial products.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

Serve as the technical SME for Data Center hose, coupling, and assembly solutions.
Lead product development from concept through commercialization.
Define product specifications, design requirements, performance criteria, and validation plans.
Collaborate with R&D, Product Management, and Manufacturing to meet customer and market demands.
Lead technical discussions, design reviews, and solution development with customers.
Drive validation, reliability strategies and test plans.
Align Engineering, Innovation, Product Management, Sales, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations toward commercialization objectives.
