Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer/SME to lead fire protection design for data center and mission-critical facilities. You will guide code analyses, develop design criteria, and oversee complex systems and projects while collaborating with clients, AHJs, and cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years in fire protection engineering, PE licensure, and proven leadership. The role supports a hybrid work model and involves mentoring staff and contributing to business

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related engineering discipline.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
15+ years of fire protection engineering experience.
Experience as technical lead or SME.

Responsibilities

Lead fire protection design reviews and QA/QC across multiple projects.
Develop design criteria, basis of design reports, and technical standards.
Coordinate with multi-discipline teams and interface with clients/AHJs.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and support growth initiatives.
Contribute to business development within the Data Center market.
