Job summary

CM Mission Critical Engineering in Dallas seeks a Fire Protection Designer to develop fire protection systems and construction documents for data center facilities under the direction of the Fire Protection Engineer of Record.

You will layout sprinklers, standpipes, fire pumps, and fire alarms in Revit, coordinating with architectural, structural, and MEP teams to produce clash-free drawings that meet NFPA and IBC/IFC standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of Fire Protection Design experience.
• Proficiency in Revit or AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of NFPA codes and standards (NFPA 13/14/20/72).
• Familiarity with IBC/IFC and local amendments.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed, coordinated construction drawings across disciplines.
• Coordinate with internal team members to support project success.
• Design compliant and effective fire protection and fire alarm systems.
• Assist with submittal reviews, RFIs, and construction-phase documentation.
• Deliver clash-free, constructible drawings using Revit/AutoCAD.
