Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Field Operations Manager for data center projects within the Iowa Business Unit based in Cedar Rapids, IA. This role leads field operations, supports Project Superintendents, and collaborates with Project Managers and Construction Managers to ensure project success.

You will develop, train, and maintain a qualified force of field supervisors, planning from preconstruction to job completion while representing field needs in decision-making.

Qualifications

• Education: A High School Diploma is required; Industry related college degree is preferred.
• Experience: Eight years of commercial construction and business management experience, including six years as a Senior Project Superintendent.
• Experience as a business manager or owner is preferred.
• Successful history of leading construction field employees.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all field operations on data center projects.
• Guide Project Superintendents and advise Project Managers on field issues.
• Plan projects from preconstruction through completion and train field supervisors.
• Liaise between project management and field teams; address field needs in decisions.
• Lead strategic management and people development; build teams and set goals.
