Job summary

ITCAPS LLC is seeking a Field Engineer to provide onsite operational support in a dynamic data center. You will work with server hardware, perform troubleshooting, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to keep the data center running smoothly.

Responsibilities include managing parts shipping and inventory, recording serial numbers and rack elevations, coordinating with colocation teams for power and cooling, and handling service requests as the onsite escalation point, including after-hours

Qualifications

• Strong data center/server hardware experience.
• Experience with troubleshooting, break/fix, firmware, and OS installation.
• Basic GPU configuration and testing experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite data center operational support and coordinate field engineers.
• Manage parts shipping, receiving, inventory, and hardware deployment.
• Maintain documentation including serial numbers, rack elevations, and runbooks.
• Coordinate with colocation teams for power, cooling, and facility activities.
• Perform server monitoring, troubleshooting, log collection, and break/fix support.
• Support firmware upgrades, hardware replacements, and system updates.
• Perform OS installation, GPU configuration, testing, and system validation.
• Open and manage service requests and coordinate vendor support.
• Handle urgent issues and serve as an onsite escalation and coordination point.
