Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical data center facilities, including generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, and cooling systems. You will perform rounds, assist with incidents, and support contractors across multiple sites.

The role requires physical capability, travel between sites, and flexibility for shift work, with a strong emphasis on safety and operational reliability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in data center engineering or related facilities.
• Willingness to travel between data center sites.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and EPMS.
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
• On-site support of contractors and vendors per practices and local laws.
• Role may support multiple locations/sites.
