Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Boardman, OR is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain mission-critical facilities and ensure 24/7 uptime for our cloud infrastructure.

You will monitor electrical and mechanical systems, support standby generators, UPS, PDUs, and cooling equipment, and troubleshoot rack-level events. You’ll work a flexible schedule, travel between sites as needed, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold safety, change management, and reliability

Qualifications

2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
Preferred: 2+ years of data center engineering experience.
Preferred: experience reading and writing procedures, technical documents, and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLAs.
PM, troubleshooting, root cause analyses, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
