Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Oregon is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission‑critical data center facilities, including standby generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, chillers, cooling towers, and fire/life safety systems.

You will perform rounds, monitor BMS and EPMS, support change management, and coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure 24/7 reliability and compliance with safety standards. Travel between sites may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack‑level events within internal SLA.
• Perform rack installs and rack decommissioning within internal SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• On‑site support of contractors and vendors, ensuring work follows established practices and local legislation.
