Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer support role in Texas. You will assist in producing as-built drawings, responding to drawings and change orders, and supporting writing change orders and RFIs.

You’ll maintain professional relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers. The role offers a three-step progression (I, II, Senior) with increasing responsibilities; a four-year construction degree or equivalent experience is expected, along

Qualifications

• Entry-level position that normally requires a four-year construction-related degree or equivalent technical/field experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to interface and communicate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Engineer in developing and maintaining as-built drawings and in reviewing submittals, change orders, RFIs, and budget forecasting.
• Support the project management plan and change management process; assist in project scope activities and execution.
• Ensure administration of the project quality management plan and promote a culture of safety on the project.
• Assist in calculating daily production rates and unit costs; participate in risk management and cost control.
• Assist with BIM coordination between subcontractors and designers.
• Assist with LEED documentation and creating Digital Record Drawings (ORD).
• Provide lines, grades and layout as required and maintain an organized logbook.
• Prepare weekly quantities and assist budgeting to stay within approved project budgets.
• Provide support to superintendents and help resolve field problems.
