Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Data Center Engineering Technician to safeguard mission-critical data-center infrastructure and ensure continuous uptime. You will monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems, perform PMs, and support change management activities on site.

Travel to multiple VA locations may be required; on-call rotations and extended shifts are possible to meet 24/7 operational needs. This role prioritizes hands-on maintenance and rapid incident response.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical or mechanical systems in data-center or mission-critical facilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLA; assist in rack installs/decommissions.
• Perform preventive maintenance, root-cause analysis and repair of electrical/mechanical equipment.
