Job summary

Go.AI is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to install and validate AI/ML appliance hardware in client data centers. You will rack, cable, power devices, perform initial bring-up, and document configurations per client standards.

Travel ~40% within the United States, with occasional after-hours or weekend work. You will coordinate with client IT staff and the implementation lead to answer questions and escalate issues as needed.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years hands-on server hardware installation in data centers or enterprise environments (colo, MSP, or vendor field service).
• Comfortable with rail kits, PDUs, redundant power, and copper/fiber cabling.
• Working knowledge of out-of-band management tooling, BIOS/firmware updates, and basic Linux CLI.
• Network fundamentals: IP addressing, VLANs, DNS; able to isolate connectivity issues.
• Willing to travel on client timelines, including after-hours or weekends.
• Able to pass vendor background screening and maintain professional client presence.
• Clear documentation habits for asset records and install checklists.

Responsibilities

• Rack, cable, and power on appliance hardware in client data centers per standards.
• Coordinate on-site logistics: shipping, badge access, escorts, loading docks, change windows.
• Configure iDRAC/iLO/IPMI, apply firmware and BIOS baselines, initial network bring-up.
• Run post-install validation: power redundancy, reachability, thermal, health checks.
• Produce clean install docs: serials, asset records, port maps, install checklist.
• Interact with client IT and data center staff; escalate product/security questions to lead.
• Travel roughly 40% within the US; on short notice when required.
