We are seeking a Data Center Field Coordinator - Columbus, Ohio to become part of our team! In this role, you will help commission and start up control systems for data centers, including programming, testing, and documenting automated systems. You’ll work as part of a team closely with management, and collaborate with customers, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution. This position requires someone who can perform key responsibilities with some guidance while building strong professional relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Ensure accurate installation and commissioning of system equipment.
  • Assist with project planning, programming, testing, and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and equipment issues.
  • Provide updates to the Project Manager and document findings.
  • Support service needs, including after-hours support if needed.
  • Perform maintenance tasks and manage control networks.
  • Follow and promote the company’s safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's degree (B.A., B.S.) with an emphasis in Computer Studies or some branch of Engineering or Associate’s degree (A.A., A.S.) from a two-year community college or technical school with an emphasis in Computer Studies or Instrumentation and Controls preferred. Experience with Industrial control systems and experience in dealing with customers regarding system requirements, etc. Must have at least one year of industrial controls or data center experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Superior safety record.
  • Great communication skills.
  • 5 years of service or maintenance experience preferred but not required. Willing to train.
  • Prior experience with Data Centers and proficiency in PLC programming, HMI development.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Travel: This position requires regional travel to job sites within a 50-mile radius of Columbus, OH.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, this role is often exposed to high/precarious places, risk of electrical shock, and all outside weather conditions. This role is expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Due to the nature of our work and our client base, this role may involve tasks in an environment exposed to dust. Candidates should be comfortable working in these conditions and complying with safety standards to protect their well-being.
