About the Role
We are seeking a Fiber Installation Technician to support commercial building and data center projects across the DFW area. This role is hands-on and field-based, focused on fiber termination, splicing, and testing, with the expectation that technicians are flexible and willing to assist across related low-voltage scopes as project needs require.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform fiber optic splicing, termination, and testing (single-mode and multi-mode)
- Conduct OTDR, power meter, and light source testing; interpret and document results
- Install and maintain fiber infrastructure in commercial buildings and data centers
- Support additional low-voltage activities as needed, including:
- Security systems support
- Cable tray and basket tray installation
- Vault and pathway work
- Follow project plans, safety standards, and quality requirements
- Collaborate with project managers, leads, and field teams to meet deadlines
Required Qualifications
- 1–2+ years of hands-on fiber splicing experience
- Fiber splicing certification required, such as:
- ETA International Fiber Optics Installer (FOI/FOA)
- Experience in commercial construction and/or data center environments
- Strong understanding of fiber testing equipment and documentation
- Willingness to assist outside of fiber scope when projects require “all hands on deck”
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally within DFW
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on large-scale commercial or mission-critical/data center projects
- Knowledge of structured cabling and low-voltage systems
