Job summary

Pkaza is seeking a Data Center Facility Manager to oversee the operation and maintenance of a critical data center in Sumner, WA. This role manages mechanical and electrical systems and coordinates with vendors, IT leaders, and the client site contact to ensure reliability and uptime.

Ideal candidates have extensive experience in data center operations, supervision of technical staff, and a solid understanding of HVAC and electrical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 7-15+ years in data center operations and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical/HVAC equipment.
• Experience supervising technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage routine and emergency service on critical systems (MV switchgear, diesel gen., UPS, PDU, CRAC, chillers, cooling towers, fire detection/suppression, BMS).
• Supervise on-site management of sub-contractors and vendors per procedures.
• Manage local client relationship and act as single point of contact at site.
• Establish performance benchmarks, analyze data, and report on facility operations and maintenance.
• Coordinate with IT leaders to optimize capacity, safety, and efficiency.
• Create and update MOPs and SOPs for facility equipment.
• Schedule activities within change control processes.
• Maintain readiness for 99.999% uptime.
