Job summary

Prime Data Centers is seeking a Critical Facility Manager to lead and sustain high-availability data center operations in a 24/7 environment. The role requires hands-on leadership of staff and management of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems to ensure reliability and compliance.

The ideal candidate brings mission-critical operations experience, strong project management, and a proven track record in vendor oversight and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data centers, mission-critical facilities, or similar environments.
• Technical degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• CPR/First Aid and NFPA 70E certification (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations and maintenance of all critical facility infrastructure.
• Ensure maximum uptime through preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and emergency response.
• Manage Operations Technicians, providing leadership, training, coaching, and performance oversight.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for facility-related issues and perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Oversee vendor performance, safety compliance, and customer relationships.
• Lead capital improvements and operational projects from planning through implementation.
• Develop and implement operational procedures, best practices, and site standards.
• Monitor facility performance, document maintenance activities, and communicate status to leadership.
