Job summary

Pkaza is seeking a skilled Controls Technician for a data center facility in Sumner, WA. This role focuses on testing, programming, integration, commissioning, and ongoing support of BAS/BMS/EPMS systems within a live, mission-critical environment.

You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software teams and field staff to ensure reliable operations, adherence to safety standards, and successful startup and handover of projects.

Qualifications

• Experience with data center controls and building management systems (BMS/BAS/EPMS).
• 3–8+ years experience with BMS/BAS Controls in mission-critical environments.
• Familiarity with HVAC equipment such as Chillers, AHUs, CRAH/CRAC, Boilers.
• Ability to interpret drawings, wiring diagrams, and submittals.
• Experience with commissioning, startup, and validation of BAS/HVAC projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct O&M analysis and reporting for critical facilities.
• Oversee control system upgrades while maintaining uptime.
• Coordinate with Design/Construction Teams and subcontractors.
• Lead commissioning and validation of BAS/HVAC systems.
• Perform QA/QC of controls installations and field reports.
• Develop MOPs and site activity plans.
• Support RFIs, estimates, and takeoffs for proposals.
• Provide input to project teams on progress and issues.
