Salute Inc. in Boydton, VA is seeking a Data Center Facilities Technician to perform structured cabling installations and server rack deployments in a data center environment. This hands-on role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of how to properly utilize power tools is required.
• Ability to read and understand cabling maps.
• Ability to work at different heights, in confined spaces, and on different surfaces.
• Ability to use mobile application technology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams; IT systems for reporting and timekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Install, route, and secure structured cabling according to project specifications.
• Assist with server rack deployments and related hardware setup.
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Complete tasks assigned by the Team Lead in a timely and accurate manner.
• Support quality assurance by adhering to installation standards.
• Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
• Follow precise instructions and manage materials movement including shipping/receiving.
• Perform Data Center pre-cabling to industry standards and inventory staging.
• Timely responsiveness via MS Outlook, MS Teams, text, and phone.
