Job summary

Salute seeks a Data Center Facilities Technician to perform structured cabling and rack deployments in a data center setting, reporting to on-site leadership in Boydton, VA. This hands-on role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork, with extensive exposure to hyperscale client environments.

The position offers on-site work with on-the-job training; no prior experience required, as long as you are reliable, safety-conscious, and able to follow precise instructions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of how to properly utilize power tools is required.
• Ability to read and understand cabling maps.
• Ability to work at different heights, in confined spaces, and on different surfaces.
• Ability to use mobile application technology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams; reporting systems familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Install, route, and secure structured cabling according to project specifications.
• Assist with server rack deployments and related hardware setup.
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Complete tasks assigned by the Team Lead in a timely and accurate manner.
• Support quality assurance by adhering to installation standards.
• Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
• Perform material movement including shipping/receiving and inventory management.
