Job summary

SpaceXAI Memphis is seeking a Facilities Operations Supervisor to lead the data center's critical infrastructure, including power, cooling, and environmental controls. You will direct a team of Facilities Operations Technicians, drive hands-on operations, optimize processes, and ensure reliability and efficiency of our data center.

The role requires strong leadership, experience with BMS/HVAC, and a track record of reducing downtime while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field.
• 4+ years managing critical facilities systems (power, cooling, environmental controls).
• In‑depth knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC systems in data centers.
• 4+ years troubleshooting and maintaining critical facilities infrastructure.
• Proficiency with building management systems (BMS) and environmental monitoring tools.
• Proven leadership experience in critical facilities or technical operations.
• Ability to lead facilities infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
• Strong prioritization and time management skills.
• Must pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Facilities Operations Technicians, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of data center infrastructure, including HVAC, power distribution, and backup systems.
• Develop, implement, and optimize preventive maintenance schedules, equipment calibration, and system performance monitoring.
• Create and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure operational consistency and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to streamline equipment intake, installation, and maintenance processes.
• Utilize internal applications for inventory and asset management, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
• Manage critical equipment maintenance and repairs, ensuring timely resolution and detailed documentation.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to support seamless data center operations.
• Lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Provide on‑call support and respond promptly to critical facilities incidents.
