Job summary

DC BLOX is seeking a Data Center Facilities Manager to oversee electrical and mechanical systems in a new data center. You will manage day-to-day operations, maintenance, vendor relations, and safety compliance while monitoring metrics like PUE.

The role requires hands-on experience in 24x7 data center environments, with focus on reliability, customer service, and process improvement. On-site work five days a week is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with critical electrical systems in a data center environment.
• Hands-on management of UPS, generators and switchgear.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution and electrical safety.
• Experience with HVAC and mechanical systems in data centers.
• Familiarity with fire suppression and monitoring critical systems.
• Ability to write MOP, SOP and RCA documentation.
• Experience in preventive maintenance programs and vendor oversight.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage critical electrical systems including utility power, generators, UPS, switchgear, PDU, and power busways.
• Operate and manage critical mechanical systems including CRAC units, chillers, cooling towers, and fire suppression.
• Oversee vendors to ensure work follows DC Blox procedures and best practices.
• Establish preventive maintenance MOPs, schedules, and vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with Data Center Site Manager to facilitate tours and installations for customers.
• Adhere to DC Blox policies including change control and related processes.
• Maintain readiness of electrical and mechanical systems at all times.
