Job summary

Our Client, a Houston-based group expanding a Montgomery, TX data center campus, seeks a hands-on Critical Facilities Operations Manager for electrical and HVAC infrastructure. You will oversee power, cooling, and reliability across existing and expansion facilities, lead technicians, and coordinate with vendors and IT teams.

You will drive maintenance programs, safety compliance, and incident response while delivering KPIs on uptime, energy use, and costs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years operating mission-critical facilities (data centers, colocation, or similar).
• 3+ years leading technicians or contractors and managing budgets.
• Strong hands-on expertise in electrical power distribution and HVAC systems.
• Experience with high-density GPU deployments and liquid cooling is a plus.
• Read electrical diagrams and perform safe switching operations per standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical systems, including generators, switchgear, UPS, and PDUs.
• Oversee HVAC and cooling systems for high-density GPU racks and containment.
• Lead 24/7 facility operations, incident response, and on-call rotations.
• Transition to CMMS for preventive maintenance and KPI reporting.
• Develop SOPs, MOPs, EOPs; manage vendors and budgets for expansion.
• Coordinate with IT for GPU deployments and rack layouts; ensure uptime.
