Job summary

R+L Carriers’ Information Technology Department seeks a Data Center Facilities Engineer to oversee building operations, HVAC, electrical, BMS, generators, and life safety systems. You will audit, maintain, and improve critical facilities, ensuring safety and compliance.

The role requires hands-on management of audits, documentation, and performance optimization across the data center, with collaboration across IT, facilities, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Experience in data center mission-critical facilities operations (UPS, HVAC, generators, BMS).
• Ability to read and interpret complex project documents (AutoCAD, Visio, PDFs).
• Develop installation standards and project tracking/management documents.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance of data center components (HVAC, electrical, generators, fire systems).
• Manage preventive maintenance and MOPs; audit and report on data center ops.
• Coordinate RCA/CA with internal teams for design-related problems.
